YouTube in 9 New Markets
During the recent Google press event in Paris, YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen announced the launch of YouTube in 9 new markets/languages, these include Brazil, France, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Ireland, and the UK.
The launch of Youtube in these 9 new markets is part of Google’s strategy to begin delivering ads targeted at specific geolocation and markets.
I find it interesting that they’ve decided not to alter the logo to incorporate the various translations of “Broadcast Yourself”, instead they opted to include it only when you hover over the image.
So much for globalisation!
